An image shared on Instagram and Twitter claimed businesses cannot legally require customers to provide proof of vaccination or deny entry based on vaccination status. Governors Ron DeSantis of Florida and Greg Abbott of Texas have made their opposition to vaccine passports quite clear. Using his emergency powers, DeSantis has not only prohibited public entities, but private businesses as well from requiring proof of vaccination for entry.
